Check out this video to inspire greater perspective of our common humanity and life on planet earth.

Through the daily news we can see that our world is in a state of crisis with the planet and our lives teetering in a crossfire of differences.

What we need now more than ever is to understand the conditioned paradigms that tear us apart and get back to our basic humanity and innate intelligence for the sake of our personal relations, social and global change.

Highlights from the video…

As soon as we are born we start learning about the world. We pick up ideas and beliefs about how the world works and our place in it – like a hand-me down reality.

We learn nationality, religion, and ideologies.

What we identify with, shapes our identity.

Through the paradigms in our minds we are literally living in our own world, painted over actuality, covering over our basic humanity.

Divided by ideologies, beliefs, cultures, nationalities, and political affiliations, is it any wonder that there is division, disagreement, conflicts, erupting into battles and wars.

It’s paradigms vs. paradigms, realities, vs. realities, worlds vs. worlds.

Maybe it’s time to pause our version of reality and see something greater than our identity, greater than our differences.

Remember our profound similarity, our biological, emotional, psychological similarities.

Remember that we all have the same root. We are all living on the same planet – a tiny blue ball, hurtling through space.

As Carl Sagan said, “Consider that pale blue dot. That’s us. That’s home. On it, everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives – on a mote of dust, suspended in a sunbeam.”

If that makes your life seem insignificant, consider that your life, along with everyone else living at this time, would not be possible if it were not for some astronomical coincidence of events…

If the planet was off by 6 degrees, it would wreck havoc on our ecosystem; If it were not for the ozone layer, protecting us from solar annihilation; If it were not for the precise conditions required for water and life.

We are all trying to survive on the same home planet.

Behind our colorful veils of diversity, we are more intimately connected than we could ever imagine.

If we can really grasp this global perspective, this world view, perhaps the way we relate and solve the world’s problems would be radically different.
