Well it seems the radicalized and fundamentalists have terrorized nations and peoples this year as they’ve been doing for centuries actually. All the while they’ve hijacked religions to fit their agendas.

It’s interesting that religious leaders and their followers zone in on certain passages and completely ignore other passages, often ignoring the underlying enlightened ideas within these very same texts.

Instead religious institutions took over picking and choosing passages to lay down a law for the land for blind followers.

Remember also that religious books were compiled by numerous accounts so they are wrought with contradictions.

But life is not in ancient history, life keeps evolving. So we really need to examine why we count on ancient laws to dictate how we should live now, in lieu of our own understanding and awareness.

Ironically there are many passages of peace and solidarity in the very same religious texts that are used for so much conflict and threat to social and global peace.

So how about we flip the script and notice these passages of peace and solidarity in major religious texts that are at a high risk of being forgotten.

To really shake things up, these passages are mixed up without attribution. See if you can figure out where these passages come from. Don’t skip ahead, but the attributions are revealed further below.
